the battle plan... [Aug. 8th, 2008|06:02 pm]
The Kindred

[mood |aggravatedready to fight]

Hands over the plan to Janus. "It's what I could come up with in an hour, my Prince. Let me know what you think. My Brujah stand ready to fight when you give the word."

Izaak goes ahead with strongest Auspex Toreadors. Using Auspex, they find out how many we are up against by "looking" in the area nearby, report back.
-Izaak goes in astral form to be sure of what we will face once we get inside
(Damian will be in charge of guarding Izaak's physical body during his times of astral projection)

Ski/Everette – get all the info they can from the tattooed flesh, using auspex and thaumaturgy

Izaak again goes in astral form to make sure we know positioning and numbers.
Ember checks the tunnels using Obfuscate to make sure the entrance is clear.
Izaak positions himself above the chamber of our enemies with his fellow Toreador.

Stage 1-
As a distraction, Pondor and Damian will summon all manner of animals to the front door and then move into position with Izaak above the chamber.

Stage 2-
The minute Sasha and the Brujah see the door open, they will contact Ember/Ski and Pondor and then move in, fast and strong, guns blazing - intimidate and decimate.

Once they receive Sasha's signal, Ember, Ski and the other Nos and Malks will attack from the tunnel entrance. Ember, Ski and any others of their clans who have advanced Obfuscate will enter "invisible." The Nos will attempt to make physical attacks in this form until they feel it is unsafe for them to be so. Ski and his Malks will find a place safe from possible physical harm and use dementation to battle the minds of their foes.

Pondor and Damian will earth meld down into the chamber and attack from above when the time is right, possibly in wolf form.

Stage 3-
Fatima's Ventrue will enter through the front, using their powers of presence and dominate to attempt to intimidate and control our enemies. They will be armed and will fire when necessary but their focus should be in using their inner strengths to fight.

Simultaneously, Everette's Tremere will enter through the tunnels, attacking full force with weapons and magic, using their domination to aid them as well. Everette will specifically focus on undoing the spell that binds the Garou to the kindred that control them.

Throughout the fight, Izaak and his Toreador will keep us abreast on the thoughts of our enemies through telepathy. They will try to sort out who is in charge and what the enemies' plans are.

Brujah, Gangrel, Malkavians, and Nosferatu- to kill, maime, wound, and, in the case of the Malks, mentally torture as many as they can. Also, try to rip the magic symbol from each Garou. If it is removed, maybe they will no longer follow their leader and will scatter.

Ventrue and Tremere – to intimidate and dominate our enemies through their presence and magic

Toreador – get information about our enemies, their intentions, and their leaders and send this information to us.

Once we know who the leader is, Ember and other powerful Nos will take the face of that leader and attempt to cause confusion. The Tremere will back them up with magic, "helping" the enemies to believe this is true while the Malks add to the chaos in their own way. Hopefully, Everette will find a way to stop the spell that controls the Garou by this point and so they will be crazy with confusion as well. During the chaos, the goal will be to take control of the leader and either eliminate or capture him, based on Izaak's assessment of the situation.

Janus quickly read over the plans and then passed them around the room, first to Everette.

The woman knows tactics, certainly

"This plan looks satisfactory. Does everyone agree, or should revisions be made?"

"Some of this wants changing. I am not the student of the arcane that you are, my Prince; mine is the path of telekinesis. My ability to unravel the binding spell will be sharply limited."

"I will be sending our top initiates to purge the enchantment. You will be responsible for overseeing their work and making sure they do their job."

Following their exchange, Janus looked down upon Everette again, taking him in from head to toe.

"Be sure to meet me in my study before you leave... I have something I would like you to see before you go."

Before departing to extract any available information from the tatooed scrap of flesh, Everette made his way to Janus' study.

"What would you have of me, my Prince?"

After welcoming Everette into his study, Janus shut the door behind them and walked over to a shelf of glass cabinets. On display were several of the more specifically interesting, rare, or powerful curios in the Prince's personal collection. He opened the cabinet and seemed to pause, his hand hovering between two items; on the left sat a seemingly ancient dagger constructed of ivory or bone, and to the right a small wooden box inlaid with arcane runes.

Decisions, decisions...

After another heartbeat, Janus gently removed the box, then turned around as the case shut itself. He placed the box on his desk and slowly opened the lid, revealing a velvet-lined enclosure that held a number of plain-looking tarot cards. He turned his attention slowly back to his former lieutenant.

"Have I ever told you the story of how I came into possession of this deck? I was a young childe back then, much like yourself, and hungry for power. I served my master well, as was to be expected, but I always yearned for more than he gave me. As the years went on, I became privy to the knowledge that my master was, in fact, working for the other side. Not knowing what else to do, I retained my post and remained a patient observer. Eventually, The chantry in London contacted me and asked for my help in cleansing our clan of the weakness that was my master. I searched for a method by which I could accomplish this, and in the end befriended a human Magician whose aims aligned with my own. Using the tools he provided me, I cut down my former master and took his place."

As he spoke, Janus began thumbing through the contents of the box, seemingly reading them with his fingertips as they played across the tops of the cards.

"As a token of our friendship, the Magician gifted me this wondrous deck of tarot cards. Since then, I have used their magicks sparingly, knowing that I would be unlikely to come across something so conveniently powerful for the remainder of my unlife. However, one card, in particular, I have been saving for just such an opportunity as this. It seems, as you are a young one, surely thirsting for power, that using it now would be quite... appropriate."

With a flick of Janus' wrist faster than any eye could detect, Everette found himself face-to-face with the card titled "Death." The picture on the card showed an old, hooded man standing above a pair of huddled, naked lovers, decaying as they held one another in an eternal embrace.

Through a clear force of will, Janus handed the card to Everette and closed it in his alabaster hands.

"Use it well."

Izaak read over the battle plan and flushed and then blanched. Of course Sasha would put me right there in the middle of the action... God I really, really hope I don't die. What would the world be like without me, anyway?

Izaak handed it on to the next person. "I believe I can perform my duties to satisfaction."

Skiouros takes possession of the paper and excitedly reads its content, nervously bouncing and giggling to himself as he admires the profound concentration and insight concealed behind the hastily strewn words. His eyes drift wildly across the paper until his focus reaches the end of the page, at which time he sharply popcorns in the air, momentarily mesmerized by the diaphanous pieces of tail fabric as they follow his descent with a slight delay. As his attention returns to the plans, he takes the papers and joyously folds it repeatedly into something which vaguely resembles an origami crane before throwing it in the air and whimsically laughing at its brief flight.

"Although monumental in its strength like the quantum singularity which bends light and prevents the illumination of our liberation, the traitorous tentacles and its sulfured tendrils lack the tension to ground the ascent."

Skiouros pauses, looking at the reflections in perpetual motion cast off his wrist armor from the nearby candlelight.

"The nocturnal fabric, frayed from the ravages of fragrant moths, only gets more worn and separated when pulled in many directions; the plan, like the thread to bind the crimson mosaic."

"It's a good plan." As far as suicide missions go. "Everyone is doing what they likely do best." Dominating the situation for me. Fatima looks at Sasha. The plan is almost too good for a Brujah. Write about what you know, I guess. Can't wait for the chapter on how to be a mouth-breathing cave-dwelling troll woman. Fatima smiles contentedly to herself.
